Permit of stay

The extension to August 31, 2020 provided for by the Cura Italia Decree concerns residence permits expiring on January 31.

The residence permit is the document that allows a foreign citizen to legally reside on the territory of the Italian state.

The delivery of the residence permit to the Police Headquarters must be made by obligation in the hands of the applicant and no one can be delegated.

For the application for family reunification, the applicant must have a series of documents including proof of owning suitable accommodation.
